Terms and Conditions
Warranty: Items for sale are as shown and described. While every effort is made to report on the item offered as accurately and as completely as possible, no warranty, either made or implied, is given. It is the buyers’ responsibility to familiarise him/herself of the condition of the item before a bid is made and such a bid, when made, signifies that the buyer accepts the above. Additional information on the item will be gladly provided; this in the form of descriptions and or additional photographs. Personal and third party physical inspection of the item is welcomed; provided this is undertaken at the buyer’s own cost and such inspections take place at the premises of the seller.
Bids made: Many of the items displayed on sale are offered on behalf of clients. Thus, any bid made below the asking price, will be subject to referral before confirmation. Bids received that are well below the asking price will be rejected without referral. In the case of multiple bids, the higher of these bids will be accepted; although lower bidders have the option to include with their bid, a request to be notified of a higher bid; thus affording them the opportunity to modify their bids. In such event, all bidders will be notified: affording them the chance of modifying their bids.
Restriction of Sale: The items on offer are only available to persona holding Dedicated Status in terms of the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000. The buyer, in addition to holding Dedicated Status, must also demonstrate that the item bid on, will fall within the buyer’s specific theme within his/her Dedicated Status.
Export Sales: Any sales to persons or entities outside of the South African Judicial System must arrange for the export and transport of the item through their appointed agents and at their own expense.
Sale Price: The final price of the item shall be paid in full and within 7 days of acceptance of bid; free of commission and to an account specified by the seller. Payments not received within the specified time will result in the cancellation of the sale. This 7 day period includes any ‘Cooling Off’ periods which may be specified in Law.
Cancellations: Your bid is firm and final. In the event that your application for license is declined, you shall, at your own expense, lodge an appeal against such refusal with the Appeals Board at your own cost. In the event that your appeal is not successful, your purchase price shall be refunded, subject to a 25% (twenty five per centum) cancellation fee; such fee calculated on the full sale price of the item. No interest on monies paid pending the granting of a license shall be paid.
The Buyer may, at his own expense, choose to have the item purchased, transferred to a registered and licensed Arms Dealer of is choice through which application for a license shall then be made. In such an event, such transfer shall signify a completed sale and no monies shall be refunded on the subsequent cancellation of the sale.
Transport and Postage etc.: The transport and postage on all items purchased shall be for the purchaser’s account. The seller shall obtain a quotation for the cost of approved transport; which the buyer shall pay to the seller before the item is shipped. Alternatively, the purchaser may arrange for his/her own transport.
